Founded in 1989,
Lewis Carroll Academy is a non-denominational, non-profit, independent
private school offering education for kindergarten through grade
8.
Lewis Carroll
Academy offers a traditional and challenging academic program, including
fine and performing arts. We insist upon an application of values
and ethics with a firm foundation of moral principles. We teach
respect for the rights and feelings of others and instill a spirit
of community within the school itself.
The objective
of Lewis Carroll Academy is a student who, through exposure to the arts, culture
and literary works, and through the mastering of essential academic skills, is
a benefit to himself, his family and his community, well equipped with the necessary
tools and understanding of life and the world he lives in to be successful in
whatever he chooses to do. We
at Lewis Carroll Academy believe that faculty, students and parents work as a
team with the common goal of acquiring an excellent education. Following
a Common Sense Moral Code As
parents, we all want to instill a sense of morality and integrity in our children.
However, in many cases this same sense of morality and integrity is not instilled
at school, and children face daily situations which challenge their ability to
maintain their personal integrity. Our
students are taught curriculum which addresses the areas of personal responsibility
and integrity. They learn how to decide, for themselves, what is "right"
and what is "wrong", gain a practical understanding of ethics and learn
the value of living an ethical life. An understanding of ethics and morals is
an integral part of the philosophy of the school.
