Students are
taught fine arts through a variety of media including pencil, watercolor,
pastels and acrylics. More advanced students learn oils.
Students initially
learn basic drawing skills, have practice lessons, and are taught
specific drawing and painting techniques. As they progress, the
students draw still life and portraits.
Art history
and techniques of the masters are discussed, and the students learn
to replicate these techniques.
Our fine arts
curriculum produces students who can create breathtaking works of
art, some of which is displayed on this page. Students are taught
that their talent is in being themselves and in expressing all their
wonderful individuality. They flourish and prosper in fine arts
and expand their abilities from lesson to lesson.
"My
art class was very fun and I learned a lot about detailing, shading
and shadowing!" KK
